Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache (Test of German as a Foreign Language) is a standardized language test for learners of German. Usually a 3 to 3.5-hour-long test, it is conducted at designated centres (given below) and assesses a person’s proficiency on 4 levels of reading, listening, writing and speaking.

Can I attend A1 German exam with self preparation?
Yes you can attend the exam with self preparation but having a teacher is always helpful. You can get a direction of how you have prepare and approach the exam.

Is C1 German fluent?
Being able to go to an interview, deliver it in German, and do any tests / assessment etc in German you are asked to do. I’d say that’s “fluent” enough. C1 is pretty much there – it’s about being able to handle most topics you come across confidently.
