Deer Mountain Ski Resort, aka Mystic Miner Ski Resort, which closed in 2017 after 50 years of operation, has been sold and is planning on reopening in December next year, according to an announcement by the new owners Keating Resources. The ski area was shut down amid bankruptcy proceedings four years ago.

With sugar Mountain ski resort being the favorite closest to Nashville Tennessee. Beech mountain has a Swiss alpine atmosphere which we really like, but the slope conditions are much better at Sugar mountain always, unless you go when they just got fresh snow. Then either is good.

What happened to Deer Mountain ski resort?
I really enjoy Deer Mountain, they offer great skiing and snowboarding runs, along with a snow-tube run near the resort lodge. I understand they are currently closed, new management I believe, but I hope they re-open soon!
