What does Maxiclear do?
Maxiclear Hayfever & Sinus Relief tablets are used for the temporary relief of nasal and sinus congestion and symptoms of hayfever such as runny nose, watery and itchy eyes and sneezing. Your doctor or pharmacist, however, may prescribe MAXICLEAR HAYFEVER & SINUS RELIEF tablets for another purpose.
Can I take paracetamol with Maxiclear?
Phenylephrine may cause sleepiness in some people. Prolonged or excessive use can be harmful. Do not take with any other cough or cold medicines or products containing paracetamol, unless advised to do so by a doctor or pharmacist.
How do you take phenylephrine?
Place the tablet in your mouth and allow it to dissolve, without chewing. Swallow several times as the tablet dissolves. Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 7 days, or if you have a fever, rash, or headaches. If you need surgery, tell your surgeon if you are currently using phenylephrine.
Is Maxigesic good for period pain?
Maxigesic tablets are indicated for temporary relief of pain associated with: headache, migraine headache, tension headache, sinus pain, toothache, dental procedures, backache, sore throat, arthritis, tennis elbow, period pain, muscular pain, rheumatic pain, aches and pains associated with colds and flu.
Is it OK to take Sudafed every day?
Is it safe to take for a long time? Decongestants should only be used for a short time, usually less than 10 days. If you take them for longer, you’re more likely to get side effects. Only take pseudoephedrine for longer than 10 days if a doctor has said it’s OK.
What drugs should you not take with Sudafed?
Avoid taking MAO inhibitors (isocarboxazid, linezolid, metaxalone, methylene blue, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, rasagiline, safinamide, selegiline, tranylcypromine) during treatment with this medication. Most MAO inhibitors should also not be taken for two weeks before treatment with this medication.
Is phenylephrine better than Oxymetazoline?
Sudafed Pe (Phenylephrine) is a good medication for relieving stuffy nose. It doesn’t work as well as pseudoephedrine (Sudafed), but it has fewer side effects. Clears your sinuses. Afrin (oxymetazoline) clears stuffy noses, but can worsen your congestion if it is used more frequently than 3 days in a row.
How much phenylephrine is too much?
Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hours. If your symptoms do not go away talk to your doctor or pharmacist. Do not take for more than 7 days unless your doctor tells you to.
