Bay farm island is host to a bunch of unusual birds and has much less traffic than the Alameda shoreline. On my last run I saw 5 herons! A great place for a leisurely walk, bike ride or run.

What is the shoreline trail like?

The shoreline trail itself is very rugged and bumpy with cracks and lifted concrete on the ground, so the ride was very unpleasant. Had to basically stand on my peddles most of the way to get to the smoother trails after the bridge. No kiosks anywhere to direct us to where the loop trail will go.
