How do you use Digimap?
- Select area. • Search using a postcode, place name or British National Grid Reference.
- Select maps. • Check the box next to any map product you wish to download.
- Add to basket. • Click the Add to Basket button.
- Request download. • You will receive two emails from Digimap.
- Download data file.
How do I get Digimap for free?
Digimap is free at the point of use for staff and students at subscribing higher and further education institutions and research councils. Details of how to subscribe and access the service can be found under the ACCESS tab.

- The second email will provide a download link.
- Click on the download link (you must be logged in to Digimap).
- Select the Download button to download the files.

Digimap is an online map and data delivery service, available by subscription to UK Higher and Further Education establishments. Operated by EDINA at the University of Edinburgh, Digimap offers a number of data collections, including Ordnance Survey, historical, geological, LiDAR and marine maps and spatial data.

Zoom to your location
- Double click on the map window.
- Double tap on the map window.
- Select the plus sign on the scale bar.
- Select any point on the scale bar to zoom to that scale.
- Select the drag zoom tool (above the scale bar), then drag a box on the map window to zoom to that area.
