Overall, the FNX 9 seemed like a well-made pistol that might even prove to be more ergonomic if FNH USA took the time to produce a wider variety of interchangeable backstraps. When you have a pistol discharge in your hand under recoil, you let a round go that you had no control over.

Is FN 509 worth the money?
The combo looks good, the finish is unbelievably durable, and it is lots better than black. I had a chance to test the 509 when it first came out, and it was impressive. The fit, feel and the trigger were all very good, not just for a striker-fired pistol, but good in the overall comparison. Why did FN do all this?
