Should I open my scented sachet? In a word, no. Opening a sachet will result in a bit of a mess. The fragrance oil will be exposed to different surfaces that it’s not meant to interact with, and this can result in discoloration or damage to that surface, which we always want to avoid.

What you do
- In a medium bowl, mix rice, Epsom salt, flower buds, and essential oil to thoroughly scent the mixture.
- Spoon mixture into your muslin pouch.
- Place anywhere you want to add a fresh lavender scent.
- Refresh your pouch every 2─3 weeks by opening it up and adding more drops of essential oil.
