880 Madison Drive Carrier Library is named for the fourth president of James Madison University, Dr. The original building was constructed in 1940 and named Madison Memorial Library. The library was renamed in honor of the Carriers in 1984.

We have expanded the hours of operation for Carrier Library, Rose Library, and The Rose Makery: Carrier and Rose are now open until midnight, Sundays through Thursdays. After midnight, the 24-hour space in Rose Library is available if you swipe in with your JACard.

Mondays through Thursdays: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Music Library and ETMC may have different Click & Pickup hours – refer to the email you receive, if you are picking items up at Music or ETMC.
