Should you ask God for things?

Should you ask God for things?

Ask God specifically for what you want. Even though God knows what you want and need, He wants you to ask Him for it. God can answer vague prayers, but being specific creates a deeper bond between you and Him. Being specific does not guarantee that God will answer your request in the way you want Him to.

What questions should I ask God?

For all those who want to hear God speak to them, I have good news. It’s actually really simple….1. Ask God about yourself.

  • How do You see me?
  • What are You doing in my life right now?
  • What do You say about the pain in my past?
  • What do You want me to know about my future?
  • What Bible verse do You have for me right now?

Does God answer the question why?

God answers each question with an explanation of why these things happened. For example, he tells the man that he prevented his car from starting because if it had, the man would have been hit by a drunk driver.

Who questioned God in the Bible?

We start in chapter 1 where Habakkuk opens the book by questioning God.

Will God give you what you want?

God gives us what *he* wants us to have, but only when we are willing to accept it (that pesky free will thing again: God cannot give what we refuse to accept). Now, if our “want” corresponds with God’s design and will, then sure, we’ll get it.

Can you make a deal with God?

You can make a deal with God if the deal is God’s idea, and you can absolutely count on God to keep the bargain. Otherwise, it’s all in your own head.

Is it OK to question God?

It’s not a sin to question God — search the scriptures if you doubt. The good and the bad in this life can lead us to a deeper faith and trust in God — a blessing for all who will believe.

What do you know of God?

In monotheistic thought, God is conceived of as the supreme being, creator, and principal object of faith. God has been conceived as either personal or impersonal. In theism, God is the creator and sustainer of the universe, while in deism, God is the creator, but not the sustainer, of the universe.

Why prayers are not answered?

– As long as your prayers are for selfish motives, driven by pride hidden in your heart, God will not answer them. – If you knowingly condone sin, whether it’s happening to you or to someone else, and you don’t correct them, you ‘regard iniquity in your heart’ and thus should forget about God answering your prayers.

Why do we ask God why?

We ask God why, believing the answer will provide us with some kind of deep soul satisfaction. But too often, we don’t get the answer we want. I don’t think that means we should give up asking questions; we just need to understand their role in our brokenness.

How can I stop questioning God?

It’s one thing to ask God why and another thing to doubt His goodness and His existence. In confusing situations pray for wisdom and expect an answer. Give God thanks daily and trust in the Lord with all your heart because He knows what He’s doing. “Quit questioning God and start trusting Him!”

What does the Bible say about asking?

Asking is an expression of dependence: when we ask, we rely on God rather than ourselves. We are to continually pray in all kinds of situations to him ( Eph 6:18; 1 Thess 5:16-18 ). When we ask, we’re treating God as a Father who loves to meet our needs ( Matt 7:11 ).

Why do people ask for what they need for wrong reasons?

The verses to follow examine more reasons people ask for what they need for the wrong reasons. These include because people who seek to be friends of the world will become enemies to God, this leading to a sense of entitlement or being proud that could make it even more difficult to hear clearly from God.
