What is glass bedding a rifle?
What is Glass Bedding? On a rifle without glass bedding, the action doesn’t sit flush to the stock which creates more movement in both the action and the barrel—reducing accuracy. By enhancing surface contact between the action (and recoil lug) and the stock, glass bedding improves the accuracy of the gun.

Cure time for 5-Minute Epoxy is 3/4 to 1 hour for a functional cure. Full bond strength is reached in 16 hours. STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE: Devcon Epoxy Adhesives should be stored in a cool, dry place when not used for a long period of time.
Is Deacon epoxy the same as Devcon plastic Steel putty?
Re: Deacon epoxy for bedding…WHICH ONE? Check what you see in the hardware store. If it says Devcon Plastic Steel Putty and mixes 2.5:1 by volume or 9:1 by weight then it’s the same stuff. If it mixes 1:1 and/or does not say Devcon Plastic Steel Putty then you’ve got a different Devcon product.

So off to the industrial hardware store I went. Well, they have a version that comes in cans, that you mix together externally.
