What is the difference between CHF 202 and CHF11S?
CHF11S is synthetic and CHF202 is partially synthetic. These two fluids are interchangeable and can be mixed. The older generation of VAG cars were filled with simpler fluids. The good news here is that both CHF11s and CHF202 are completely interchangeable and are the same color (Green).
Can I use ATF instead of CHF11S?
The Pentosin CHF 11S is a product much thinner than Normal ATF. Do not use normal power steering fluid or ATF in these cars. You will have stiffer steering and could break the shaft in your pump at temperatures below about 20ºC.

Can you just add power steering fluid?
Locate the power steering reservoir. It is usually on or near the engine, and can have a white or yellow reservoir and a black cap. If the fluid is below the “MIN” line, remove the cap (or leave the dipstick out) and add power steering fluid in small amounts, checking the level after each time.
