What is the difference between HCI and UX?
The simplest difference would be – HCI is a field of study – you can do a Masters in HCI. Whereas UX is an application of the HCI theory. UX is intangible. It is how users experience products – how they feel while using a product or a service.
What are the examples of HCI?

Virtual reality, when done correctly, can genuinely resemble the actual environment, and is an excellent example of good HCI at action. Who invented HCI?
With this vision in hand, Alan Kay and his colleagues at Xerox PARC start building the foundation of the first real graphical user interface. It took them a decade to get it all together, to get it ready to ship. Xerox released the STAR computing system in 1981.
