All BP-51 shock absorbers are manufactured in-house by ARB. In order to achieve this, significant investment has been made in state-of-the-art machining and hard anodising equipment, allowing ARB total control of the process to ensure the highest possible quality.
Are Old Man Emu shocks any good?
It just works I don’t care how it looks, or what others think about it, but it must work, and the old man emu gear does exactly that. It gets used on a heap of 4WD’s all over the place, and for us, it just works. We’ve had no leaks, no cracking, nothing come loose, or anything else go wrong.

I have an 80 Series landcruiser that is fitted with Tough Dog gear notably the Foam Cell Shocks the ride height and handling are still A1 after well over 200000km on this kit.

How good are the bp-51s?
Straight out of the box, the BP-51s are plush. Without any adjustments, they provide a very comfortable yet firm on-road experience (less nose dive, and less body roll over the factory shocks). If you are coming from a stock suspension, you will notice a huge difference in control, stability, and general on-road driving manner improvements.
What is the bp-51 system on a Land Cruiser?
The finished 200 Series Land Cruiser had a great looking stance in stock trim, and with stage 2 of the build around the corner, the BP-51 system can be adjusted to suit the added weight of bumpers, winches, sliders, etc.
