In season 7, Emily reappears in the two-part episode Skins Fire. She does not physically appear in part one although she is heard having an argument with Naomi, now living in London with Effy Stonem over Skype, and it is made clear that she is in New York City on a lucrative internship.
How does Effy’s story end?
She attempts suicide but Freddie, foreseeing this, saves her and she is taken to hospital and later, institutionalized. In the finale of season four, Effy is once again out of treatment, and even following Freddie’s mysterious disappearance is secure in that he loved her.
