How much does it cost to do the 3 peaks challenge?

There is no fixed cost for the challenge, and you’re very welcome to arrange your own – there are no set fees. We run organised challenge throughout the year, providing professional staff to help groups complete the challenge. Can you do the Three Peaks Challenge in one day?

As long as your challenge team has a dedicated driver, this is probably the best time plan. Ben Nevis is climbed in the evening, then all walkers can have a six hour sleep while being driven to Scafell Pike….Option One – Walk in daylight.

How fit do you have to be to do the 3 peaks challenge?

To test yourself, try walking around 10 miles first over relatively flat ground. If you can’t manage that, you will be unlikely to be able to ascend Ben Nevis and come down safely. Ideally, you want to be able to consistently walk c. 12 miles over hills to be able to take on the challenge with a degree of comfort.

How do you prepare for the Three Peaks Challenge?

Try to start your 3 peaks challenge training regime between 3-6 months before the challenge. A combination of gym work, regular hikes both on hills and mountains as well as nighttime walking is ideal as is running for endurance and strength.

Which of the 3 Peaks is easiest?

Snowdon is often found to be the easiest of the 3 peaks. People can be feeling slightly revived after a little sleep on the way from Scafell and the new day seems to bring renewed energy.

Is Scafell Pike harder than Snowdon?
