Do you have to be black to join Nsbe?
Anyone with an interest in furthering NSBE’s mission is eligible for membership. Even if you do not have a background in engineering or other STEM fields, you can still become an Affiliate member.

NSBE Jr., our main K-12 program, provides activities to help students discover firsthand how engineering and technology relate to the world around them and discover the excitement of academic excellence, leadership, technical development and teamwork. Mentoring is also a major part of our K-12 programs.

If you choose not to be affiliated with a chapter in your local area, you will be considered a member “At-Large,” classified by your geographical region.
