Amdry Insulated OSB Subfloor Panels are designed to offer a better, simpler insulation system; designed specifically for Carpet, laminate, engineered hardwood and hardwood flooring surfaces – virtually any screw down, nail down or floating floor-cover application.

Should you screw down DRIcore?

Remember that DRIcore must be installed as a floating floor. Normally it is not recommended to nail, glue or screw DRIcore panels to the concrete surface. In some instances, we suggest minimal fastening of the panels to the concrete surface.

Can you install tile over Dricore?

Glue Down Sheet Vinyl and Vinyl Tiles Do not glue the plywood underlayment to DRICORE® panels. Do not glue adhesive-backed vinyl tiles directly to DRICORE® panels. Glue the vinyl floor to the plywood underlayment according to the vinyl manufacturer’s installation instructions.

Is subfloor waterproof?

While there are different types of subfloors, the most common type is made from plywood. This is because it is straight, flat and relatively strong. It is also cheap and while it is not waterproof, it can resist sharp changes in humidity.

Can you install tile on Dricore?

A 1/4″ plywood underlayment approved for use with sheet vinyl or adhesive-backed vinyl tiles should be fastened to the DRICORE® panels. We do not recommend lauan plywood as an underlayment. Use 5/8 flooring fasteners that do not penetrate the moisture barrier on the underside of the DRICORE® panels.

Can I use dricore R+ in a bathroom?

I installed Dricore R+ in my basement 2 years ago. 80% of it is the subfloor for laminate flooring, 20% of is in bathroom underneath cement board with tile on top. In the bathroom, each piece of R+ was secured to the concrete slab with 5 concrete screws to prevent any movement.

Self-built plywood systems always are thicker. Scratch-built plywood subfloor systems can raise your basement flooring between 2 1/4 inches to 5 1/4 inches.

Is dricore/amdry a good way to protect OSB in a basement?
