Maná got their start in the Mexican city of Guadalajara in 1986 when singer Fher Olvero, guitarist Ulises Calleros, bassist Juan Diego Calleros (Ulises’ brother), and Cuban-Colombian drummer Alex González came together, initially signing with Polygram.
