Under the MOMA scholarship scheme, students belonging to the minority communities of Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain and Zoroastrian (Parsi) can avail Pre-matric scholarships, Post-matric scholarships and Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses.
Who is eligible to apply for the minority scholarship scheme?
Answer: Students belonging to six notified minority communities viz. Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi (Zoroastrian) studying in India only and fulfilling the Scheme guidelines are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
How much is the amount of minority scholarship in India?
A scholarship amount of up to INR 20,000 per annum is given to the selected students. Under this national minority scholarship, the applicants’ family income must not exceed INR 2.5 Lakhs. Also, the applicants must have scored at least 50% marks in their previous final exam in order to be eligible for this minority scholarship.
What is the eligibility criteria for post-matric Scholarship?
Under the post-matric scholarship scheme, minority students studying in class 11 to Ph.D. can apply. The applicants’ family income must not be more than INR 2 Lakhs and their marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination should not be less than 50%.

When will the 2021 Moma scholarship 2021-22 be released?
MOMA Scholarships 2021-22 is expected to be released in the month of July 2021. The students of minority communities who are meeting the eligibility norms can seek financial assistance under these schemes. The Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India is the scholarship issuing authority for MOMA scholarships.
What is the amount of Pre-Matric Scholarship 2020-2021?
1. Minorities Pre-Matric Scholarship: The students of class 1st to 10th standard who are belonging to the Minority Community will be awarded up to Rs.600 per month under this scheme. Around 30 lakh students will be benefited from this scheme for the academic year 2020-2021.
