What is Kerto Q?
Kerto® LVL Q-panel is a load-bearing, bracing and dimensionally stable, and it can be used in the most demanding structures. The structure improves the lateral bending strength and stiffness of the panel, thus increasing the shear strength when used as a beam.
What is LVL wood beam?
Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) is an engineered wood product that uses multiple layers of thin wood assembled with adhesives. It is typically used for headers, beams, rimboard, and edge-forming material. Due to its composite nature, it is much less likely than conventional lumber to warp, twist, bow, or shrink.
What is the difference between CLT and LVL?
LVL, glulam and CLT are but some of the product choices available that offer superior strength performing properties. LVL is manufactured by bonding together thin wood veneers under heat and pressure. CLT has been described as ‘giant plywood’ and is made in much the same way – but on a larger scale.
Is LVL stronger than hardwood?
One of the major differences between LVL and conventional lumber is that – due to the emphasis placed on quality bonding in LVL – there are no naturally occurring knots. This not only makes the product stronger, but more durable than conventional lumber.

CLT is an abbreviation of cross laminated timber and glulam is a contraction of glue laminated timber. CLT and glulam are made of the same material: timber lamellas (sometimes called lamstock) that are glued together. These products are also sometimes called masstimber prodcts or engineered timber.

Like all Kerto® LVL products, Q-panel is known for its strength, straightness and dimensional stability. Kerto® LVL Q-panel is available in the same standard widths as Kerto® LVL S-beam. Additionally the widths of 900, 1200, 1800 and 2500 mm are available. The thickness range is 27–69 mm in steps of 6 mm.
