We are open to current members of the SDSU community (students, staff, faculty, and emeriti faculty). Access to the library by non-SDSU community members (students from other CSUs, alumni, outside researchers, and other visitors) is under review.
Is The Love library open SDSU?
While the building is currently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the library continues to provide service to the SDSU community through online services and access to digital content.

Love Library (commonly referred to as University Library), opened in 1971, is the primary, central academic library serving multiple campuses of San Diego State University (SDSU) in Southern California and Northern Baja California, Mexico.
How do I get a parking permit at SDSU?
Purchase of a permit requires the user register their vehicle when they purchase a virtual parking permit through the Aztec Parking Portal. Daily permits may be purchased online and linked to a vehicle license plate through our PayByPhone mobile application, or by utilizing an on campus pay station.
What is immediate access?
Immediate Access is a collaborative program between the ISU Book Store, faculty and publishers. Students that are enrolled in an Immediate Access course will receive access to all required course materials on the first day of class and at a reduced cost compared to the national average.
How much is immediate access SDSU?
For example, a financial accounting book that generally costs about $197 new is offered via Immediate Access at $109. A $360 intermediate accounting book is offered at $122. And an organizational behavior book priced at about $117 for a new printed copy goes for $55 when students opt for Immediate Access.
Is there any free parking at SDSU?
There is free parking anywhere on campus from 4 p.m. – 2 a.m. Monday through Friday, and all day on weekends except 2 a.m. – 5 a.m. Reserved, Commuter and Economy parking lots are not enforced for parking permits during these hours.
