May/June is the best time to catch them, wonderful amounts of wildlife that time of year, you have the puffins, peregrine falcons ,guillemots all sorts. The puffin s are great to watch as they do have some very funny behaviour.
Where can I see Choughs in Anglesey?
They can be found year round on the cliffs around South Stack and areas local to it. They nest on the high cliffs in nooks and cranny’s on the cliff face, sometimes just inside small caves or even tall buildings at times. On occasion they will also form small flocks in winter when flying around the area.
Can you see puffins on Anglesey?
Anglesey has a good population of puffins, and one of the best places to see these charismatic birds is at South Stack. They are instantly recognisable by their tangerine coloured feet and large, brightly coloured bills, which they use to great effect for carrying sand eels – one of their main sources of food.
Are dogs allowed on South Stack?
Dogs are welcome on the reserve and in Ellin’s Tower, but aren’t allowed inside the cafe. Please keep your dog under control and stick to the paths. Drinking water is provided for dogs in bowls at the doors of the Visitor Centre and Ellin’s Tower.

Are dogs allowed at South Stack lighthouse?
Dogs are welcome but there are a lot of steps up and down to the lighthouse (which may be too much for a smaller dog). Once at the lighthouse dogs are not allowed to go up the spiral stairs to the top control room.
Can you walk to Puffin Island?
No, but you go all around the island and go close up to see the birds, seals, etc. over a year ago.
