What is known about the Celts?
The Celts were a collection of tribes with origins in central Europe that shared a similar language, religious beliefs, traditions and culture. Their legacy remains most prominent in Ireland and Great Britain, where traces of their language and culture are still prominent today.

Where did the Celts come from?
Since they had no written language, and the fact that they were driven out by invasions and famine, the Celts would trace their origins to central Europe, with smaller settlements found as far as North Africa, the Middle East and the Caucasus.
