Personally I like the 383 stroker, it has unbelievable torque for its size and the 400 block has siamese cylinders, some of the blocks had a problem running hot since there is no way water can get between the cylinders. I built a 408 for my Delivery. I know they say not to bore a 400 block over .030 but whats .010.
