In order to become an SRP, one should have at least 3 o’levels, a valid driver’s permit and be at least 18 years old. Persons are invited to apply when an advertisment is placed in the press to do so. Once you’ve submitted your application and meet the prerequisites, you will be invited to sit an exam.

Do you need a degree to join the police?
Yes, as above, the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) does not require you to have a degree. You would need to meet the minimum entry requirements for the PCDA programme and pass the recruitment process set out by the City of London Police and Coventry University.
