Dell EMC® Isilon® SyncIQ™ offers powerful, flexible and easy to manage replication of data for disaster recovery, business continuance, disk-to-disk backup and remote disk archive. SyncIQ delivers unique replication performance: every node in an Isilon cluster can send and receive data.

How does SyncIQ work?

SyncIQ creates and references snapshots to replicate a consistent point-in-time image of a root directory. Metadata such as access control lists (ACL) and alternate data streams (ADS) are replicated along with data. SyncIQ enables you to maintain a consistent backup copy of your data on another Isilon cluster.

What benefit does SyncIQ provide for Isilon customers?

SyncIQ enables you to maintain a consistent replica of your data on another Isilon cluster and to control the frequency of data replication. For example, you could configure SyncIQ to back up data from your primary cluster to a secondary cluster once a day at 10 PM.

Procedure

  1. Click Data Protection > SyncIQ > Policies .
  2. In the SyncIQ Policies table, in the row for a policy, select Delete Policy.
  3. In the confirmation dialog box, click Delete.
