This power source adaptor was purchased for my older Seagate external Hard drive. I had asked whether this power source would work on the item, Seagate Freeagent 1TB, and the answer was yes. Once received, plugged in, attached to a live computer, it did not start up the drive at all. Tried on another good working computer, same result.
