What is the difference between shuffle dance and electro swing?
I suppose the difference, in my opinion, boils down to: swing merely squeezes the off-beat closer to the following beat; shuffle does this and also adds the middle note, locking the triplet in place. A piece can swing harder, approaching a dotted eighth plus a sixteenth.

So, in short, you will always have people hate on certain genres, but in my eyes the hate for electro swing mostly comes from its repetitive, upbeat style and its snobbish, highbrow crowd. As a drummer, my problem with electro swing are the grooves (typically) associated with the genre.
