The Plopsa parks offer excitement for young and old with their top attractions in a unique environment. In Belgium, there are Plopsaland De Panne, the water park Plopsaqua De Panne, the indoor Plopsa Indoor Hasselt and Plopsa Coo in the Belgian Ardennes. The first Dutch indoor theme park, Plopsa Indoor Coevorden, was opened in 2010.
How many waterparks does Plopsaland have?
It currently consists of two waterparks: Plopsaqua Hannut-Landen and Plopsaqua De Panne. At the beginning of the 2010s, Plopsa was looking into turning its flagship park Plopsaland into an all-weather-resort.

The second Plopsa water park will open in Hannut in 2020: Plopsaqua Hannuit-Landen. In addition to the parks, Plopsa also manages an external Plopsa Shop in Wijnegem Shopping Centre and the Proximus Theatre in De Panne. The opening of the very first Plopsa Hotel in De Panne is also planned for 2020.
When will Plopsaqua Mechelen open?
The city of Mechelen and Plopsa started investigating Plopsaqua Mechelen in 2015. Several locations throughout the city were looked at, but the consortium picked a spot behind Technopolis. Plopsa will submit a permit application in the course of 2021, with a proposed opening in 2023.
When was the first Plopsaland opened?
Opened in 1935 as Meli Park, acquired by Plopsa in 1999 and reopened as Plopsaland in 2000. Opened in 2013 as Plopsa Theater, renamed in 2019 to Proximus Theater. Opened in 1965, acquired in 2017 and is in development to reopen in fases from 2021 as Plopsa Village with a camping site, mobile homes and holiday villages.
What happened to Plopsa Indoor Coevorden?
In 2010 Plopsa crossed the Dutch and German border and opened an indoor theme park in Coevorden, similar to Plopsa Indoor Hasselt. The park officially openend its doors on the 29th of April 2010 and got the name Plopsa Indoor Coevorden. In Germany they acquired Holiday Park in Haßloch.
