PETALING JAYA, Jan 13 — Over 72 hours of continual rain caused temperatures to dip to a cool 13 degrees Celsius in Genting Highlands, Pahang, leading some to describe the mountaintop resort as unusually cold now.

Because of many development projects in Genting Highland owners rent out to construction companies which accommodate foreign workers in Amber Court. The remote location, illegal activities, security issues, rooftop/pipe leaking and difficulties in water supply contribute to the decline of Amber Court.

Based on history, Amber Court was developed in the year of 1995 and then got marketed as a resort in Genting Highland. However, the developer faced financial issues when the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis hit. Because of that, the resort was later sold as apartment units. The 23-story apartment is now mostly unoccupied.
