Well, i have a 2002 CLK55 and that motor is not supercharged. The slightly newer models of AMG come with the Kompressor engine. It also comes on a 6 cylinder models as well (23AMG, 32AMG etc). The CLS63 (AMG)and the CLS550 in the CLS case are neither super charged.

I would put the AMG engine over the stock engine anyday but it looks like the CLS550 still has the “AMG” V8 from ol and the new one that’s 6.3 liters. I would say you couldn’t lose either way!
