After over 20 years of absence, Super Tails finally makes a return in Sonic Mania, and this time Tails can now go Super with just the Chaos Emeralds. He gets all the benefits of a Super form including invincibility as well as increased speed and jump height, but the Super Flickies from Sonic 3 & Knuckles do not return.

Powers and abilities As Super Tails, Tails’ innate abilities far surpasses his normal ones. He can therefore both run and fly faster and jump higher than he can in his regular form. With it, Super Tails can shred or burrow through just about any substance given enough speed.

Play as super sonic. When fighting against Metal Sonic defeat him in the first round,and in the second round turn sonic in to super sonic by pressing back + Punch+ Kick at the same time. If done correctly sonic will morph in to the invincible super sonic. Hover over Amy on the Character Select and press Start. You’ll see Honey instead of Amy.
