What is there to buy at Marukai?
Sometimes they have unique fruits that are not at the other Marukai or Tokyo Central locations. They carry one of my favorite rices (Akita Komachi)), have a decent variety of furikake, shoyu, tofu, miso, snacks, and other Japanese staples. Prices here are decent. Sometimes they have good sales and that’s when I stock up.
What to do in maraukai?
Marukai has an extensive variety of Japanese snacks and candies located at the back of the store. They also have fresh fish and crabs as well as a poke counter. Oh, before I forget, they also carry a lot of knives from Japan. I really need a new cooking knife and was about to buy them from the Navy Exchange, but Maraukai has a pretty big selection.

This Marukai is located at the end of Dillingham Blvd.. even though the address says Kamehameha Hwy! It’s across OCCC. There’s plenty of parking, and even a nice shaded section.
