This method worked for me in Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver.
- Download the file containing the desired fonts.
- Go the directory where the downloaded file is.
- Right click on the file.
- Select “OPEN WITH FONTS.” Right click on it.
- Another box’ll appear.
- Click on that and the fonts will get installed.
