What is Actidose used for?
Actidose-Aqua (activated charcoal suspension) is an antidote used to treat stomach pain caused by excess gas, diarrhea, or indigestion, and to relieve itching related to kidney dialysis treatment and to treat poisoning or drug overdose. Actidose-Aqua is available in generic form.
How do you take Actidose with sorbitol?
How to use Actidose-Sorbitol suspension:
- Shake well before using.
- Use a measuring device marked for medicine dosing. Ask your pharmacist for help if you are unsure of how to measure this dose.
- If you miss a dose of Actidose-Sorbitol suspension, contact your doctor right away.

Take 2 capsules with water right before meals and as needed after eating problem foods. Repeat after two hours if necessary. Do not exceed 16 capsules per day.
