How to use Feldene
- Read the Medication Guide provided by your pharmacist before you start using piroxicam and each time you get a refill.
- Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually once daily with a full glass of water (8 ounces/240 milliliters).
How do you eat Ugesic?
Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor. You may take this drug with or without food. If you have nausea, it may help to take this drug with food. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about other ways to decrease nausea (such as lying down for 1 to 2 hours with as little head movement as possible).
What is feldene used to treat?
Feldene is indicated for symptomatic relief of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis. Due to its safety profile (see sections 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4), Feldene is not a first line option should an NSAID be indicated.
How do you drink feldene flash?
Therapy should be initiated by a single dose of 40 mg, followed on the next 4 to 6 days with 40 mg daily, given in single or divided doses. Piroxicam (Feldene Flash) is not indicated for the long term management of gout.

Use the lowest dose that is effective in treating your condition. It may take up to 2 weeks before your symptoms improve. Keep using the medicine as directed and tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve. If you use Feldene long-term, you may need frequent medical tests.
