How long do pool valve actuators last?

between 5-7 years
If you have old galvanized pool plumbing or any home replacement piping that is not up to code, please have our team update your pad ASAP! Pool valves tend to last between 5-7 years before the exterior plastic parts need to be replaced. As long as the internal parts are working handles can be replaced.

How does a pool valve actuator work?

Pool Valve Actuators are used to provide an automated push button command to one or more of the Diverter Valves in you Pool’s water flow system. They are mounted on top of your Pool’s Diverter Valves and are wired into your Pool’s Control Box.

What causes the force in the actuator?

Motors are widely used as torque actuators in controllers. Since armature current is proportional to the generated motor torque and the actuator force, generated motor torque and actuator force can be controlled by controlling the motor current.

Why choose Intermatic 24 volt valve actuators?

Designed with quality in mind, Intermatic’s 24-Volt valve actuators provide reliable control of 2-way and 3-way diverter valves for pool/spa combinations and water features. The water flow can be altered for specific applications through the adjustable cam, which rotates diverter valves to multiple degree settings.

How do I adjust the cam settings on my Pool/Spa valve?

The cam settings can be easily adjusted by simply removing the lid. These valve actuators are compatible with all pool/spa valves currently offered in the industry and will retrofit into all pool/spa control systems.

How do I Stop my actuator?

Actuator stops automatically when it reaches the desired position (due to it’s internal limit switches). You can connect two of these together (in parallel) to turn both at the same time. Use the sync switch on the side of the actuator if your actual valves are 180 degrees to each other (mine were).
