How long does it take to pedal up at BikePark Wales?
You’ll get two uplifts to the top of the mountain with a riding host who will give you tips and guide you through the whole experience – and there will never be more than six other riders with your host. Each session is 4 hours long, so you’ll get plenty of riding time.
Is BikePark Wales suitable for beginners?
Beginner – For riders who are new to mountain biking or wish to learn on our Green trails. Intermediate – For riders who can ride Blue trails at BikePark Wales. Advanced – For riders who can confidently ride Red trails at BikePark Wales.

Can you do BikePark Wales on a hardtail?
Can I ride my own hardtail in the park? Yes you can, but be careful, most accidents happen on hardtails as they are less forgiving. So take it easy.
Do you have to wear a full face at BikePark Wales?
We also strongly advise you wear a full face helmet, eye protection, gloves and body armour. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A HELMET YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RIDE IN THE PARK OR USE THE UPLIFT SERVICE.
How hard is the climb at BikePark Wales?
The climb is fine, about 10-15 minutes if you’re fit and stick to the fire road rather than the tedious blue route. If you can ride up in 10 mins then no need for an uplift as the uplift takes longer! Take some money and jump on the uplift when there’s space.
Do you need a full face helmet for BikePark Wales?
We highly reccomend the use of full face helmets, knee and elbow pads and gloves as a minimum when riding at BikePark Wales. Don’t worry if you don’t have your own equipment though as we have partnered with industry experts Fox to offer you the best protective equipment available to rent during your visit.
Is BPW open?
The park will be open every week Friday through to Sunday and all of our services will be open and available each day.
Can I charge my ebike at BikePark Wales?
BikePark Wales have become the first and – as far we know – only bike park or trail centre to start charging more for e-bikes. It will now cost £15.00 for a day pass for folk wishing to ride their electric mountain bike at BikePark Wales. Normal bike prices have also gone up but only by £1 (to £8.00).

BikePark Wales need to know To ride at BikePark Wales costs £8 per day (it’s £15 if you want to ride your e-bike). Season tickets cost £100. Parking is free and you’ll need to sign-in at the reception. Opening times: 9am-6pm in summer, 9am-5pm in winter.
