Autodesk Fusion 360 is a 3D industrial and mechanical design tool used during product development. It was originally called Inventor Fusion and came bundled with Autodesk Inventor, but is now a standalone product with many “cloud” based features. The discontinued version is still available for free but is no longer supported.
Is Fusion 360 free?
Fusion 360 is not completely free. It is free for anyone who’s not making much money with it, and only 12 months at a time (you renew every 12 months if you still aren’t making money with it). If you are using Fusion 360 for commercial purposes, you have to pay for it.
Is Autodesk part of AutoCAD?
Autodesk makes AutoCAD, so that’s not part of the equation. AutoCAD is +/- the benchmark of fully featured CAD software, but it’s also priced as such.
