Of course, the technical rigging and visuals of Le Reve was stunning, as were O, but I found Le Reve to be too full of itself, a bit boring to be honest. O is more playful and entertaining, and definitively the one I would choose of the two.

In my opinion, kids under age 8 wouldn’t really understand Alegría, or Cirque du Soleil in general. That’s partly because younger kids wouldn’t understand the skits that divide the acrobatic acts (which they would probably like), but also because the show is designed for those with much longer attention spans.
