How long does it take Cutek to dry?
2-3 days
Once applied, CUTEK® Wood Preservative generally requires 2-3 days of dry conditions after coating to facilitate full penetration/diffusion and an even colour finish; so check your weather forecast before coating.
How long does Cutek decking oil take to dry?
A second coat should be applied when the first coat is dry, which may be up to 72 hours or even longer depending on weather conditions. If the first coat took more than 72 hours to dry, apply a thinner coat the second time.
Can you paint over Cutek?
Cutek Extreme will not penetrate through other oils or stains as they represent a barrier to penetration. All oils, stains, paints and other films must be fully removed before Cutek Extreme is applied.
Can I use Cutek on treated pine?
CUTEK® Extreme CD50 or CUTEK® Wood Preservative can be used straight on pre-treated pine without using a preparation treatment first. CUTEK® Wood Stripper will also prepare the timber and allow the treatment oil to penetrate and do its job.

Why does my cutek® extreme CD50 stain my timber Green?
CUTEK® Extreme CD50 contains a small amount of copper salts that may impart a faint green hue on some very light or white coloured timbers. This is more likely to occur in internal applications or in areas not exposed to UV light.
