Glicentin is a 69 amino acid peptide, which contains the entire sequences of oxyntomodulin (and hence glucagon) and glicentin-related pancreatic peptide. It is cleaved from the proglucagon prohormone in the L-cell, with approximately 1/3 of glicentin being further processed to oxyntomodulin.
