Is Orbea Onix good?

Is Orbea Onix good?

This is my first road bike and was lucky that my LBS guided me to the Orbea Onix as I knew very little about road bikes. I absolutely love this bike, the fit and finish is beautiful and it rides as good as it looks. Miles tick by with ease, it’s a fast bike and climbs very easy. Just a joy to ride!

Is Orbea Orca a climbing bike?

Our Thoughts. The Orca executes well on the new-ish trend of aerodynamic tube shapes and components combining with climbing bike ride characteristics. It’s a comfortable ride, especially in the rear, though the front end feels far stiffer and can lead to a bit of an unbalanced compliance feel.

Is Orbea better than Trek?

Orbea is better head angle. The trek is too steep. The orbea has more stack. Again being more comfortable and better for learning the steep stuff.

Is Orbea Orca a race bike?

The Orca is a race bike; stiff, light and fast. Comfort isn’t a priority, but is still more than amenable for a rig this fast. With Orca’s ‘MyO’ option, buyers can change some kit and customize colors and design.

What is your review of the Orbea Onix?

Orbea Onix TDF with full Ultegra. Upgraded from a hybrid bike and I continue to be amazed when riding how much the Orbea supports the rider both up hills and when tired after 60 miles. It is a bike where you just keep going – energizer.

How much does an Onix cost?

The Onix comes in four colour options (two reds, a blue and a white/grey) or as frame and forks for £1,099. Considering the chassis price you’re getting a decent set of kit to hit the road on, including full Shimano Ultegra SL with its light weight and sleek gunmetal grey looks. 2010 bikes will shift to the new Ultegra 6700.

Which Orbea bike saddle should I buy?

The Selle Italia saddle is a proven favourite and the carbon seatpost looks the part even if it’s not particularly light. The sturdy Orbea own-brand Zeus stem and bars add weight but the width and stiffness give a really useful edge when you’re wrestling a big gear.

Should I buy the Orbea Vittoria Zaffiro?

As with most bikes at this price there are some inevitable equipment compromises, and the Vittoria Zaffiro tyres are a little out of place. These are £8 tyres, and while they’re okay in the dry they’re not the best for wet rides. The Orbea is best suited to long rides in the saddle; one for the sportive rider not the wannabe racer.
