All visitors must purchase a time-reserved ticket. A maximum amount of 2,500 visitors will be allowed in at one time, and all guests over the age of 2 will be required to wear a face covering upon entering all buildings and interacting with zoo staff.
How long does it take to get through Toledo Zoo?
We usually take 3 to 4 hours. We always take time with the primates and apes/monkeys. They’re usually very entertaining.
Are animals out at Toledo Zoo?
There are still a lot of animals out, and the ones that are tend to be more active. You can also view many of the animals indoors. It tends to be less crowded in the winter (after lights is over) which is nice because you can take your time at each exhibit.

You can bring all your own stuff, water, food, strollers, wagons etc. Its a nice zoo to walk around and has excellent exhibits.

Does Toledo Zoo have a photo shoot policy?
While on Zoo grounds, guests may be photographed or filmed as part of the Zoo’s publicity efforts. No rain checks or refunds will be issued. Toledo Zoo welcomes guests with disabilities utilizing service animals as determined by the Americans with Disabilities Act and Ohio Administrative Code.

The Toledo Zoo has a variety of events, activities, and programs to experience. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an individual 16 years of age or older. Shirts and footwear must be worn at all times, with the exception of the splash pad.
Is the Toledo Zoo & Aquarium closed on Tuesdays?
Closed on Tuesdays for deep cleaning. Guests are NOT required to wear facial coverings when visiting the Toledo Zoo & Aquarium. We strongly encourage guests who are unvaccinated continue to wear facial coverings in our indoor buildings and maintain six feet from individuals who are not members in their household.
