An Open Return is a flexible ticket that doesn’t make you choose a specific time or date to return. They’re valid for one calendar month from the date of the outward journey. There are a few types of Open ticket: Anytime: fully flexible tickets that can be used on peak and off-peak services.
What happens if I miss my National Express bus?

Yes, you can break your journey while travelling with an Anytime Single or Return ticket. This means you can get off the train at any connecting stop and leave the station, before boarding a later train to complete your journey.
Can I leave train before destination?
Yes , you can anytime get down of any station before your destination, you have already paid the money to the destination so its your wish were you have to get down or even you dont want to board the train .
Does return ticket mean round trip?
It means to buy a ticket from your origin to destination and back to your origin. A return trip ticket is a ticket back to wherever you started. Sometimes we call this a round trip ticket.
Are Open returns cheaper?
On both your outward and return journey, you’ll be able to access the First Class carriage, and it’ll generally be cheaper if you travel during Off-Peak times. In fact, an Off-Peak Return journey in First Class can sometimes end up cheaper than an Anytime Return ticket in Standard.
Can I drink on National Express?
Can I eat and drink on board a National Express Transport Solutions coach? Yes, we provide refreshments on our coaches and some even have kitchen facilities. If you want to consume alcohol or food on board, a security deposit will be required which is fully refundable if the coach returns in the same condition.
Can you take a dog on National Express coaches?
We will not carry dogs or any other animals on our Coaches, with the exception of trained assistance dogs who have been trained by a member organisation of Assistance Dogs (UK).
Are open tickets more expensive?
There is no rule of thumb. The fact that it’s an open jaw ticket IS NOT a criteria for it being more expensive. It’s just the market fare in the cities you are ticketing.
