What is BPDO?
What is BPDO?
The intent of the Building Product Disclosure and Optimization credits (BPDO) in LEED v4 is to encourage adoption of products that disclose and ultimately optimize full life-cycle impacts, including impacts of raw material sourcing and effects on human health.
What are low emitting materials?
Low emitting products and materials offer multiple benefits: They do not release significant pollutants into the indoor environment. They reduce the symptoms of sick building syndrome, including headaches, fatigue, eye and respiratory irritation, dizziness, and other symptoms.
What is LEED NC?
LEED for New Construction (NC) is a voluntary sustainable building program developed by the USGBC for new construction and major renovation. LEED NC is applies to commercial buildings and residential buildings 12 stories and taller (in the soon to be released LEED v4 update).
What is LEED v3?
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System® is a voluntary standard for developing environmentally responsible, low emission, high-performance, sustainable buildings.
What does inherently non emitting mean?
Products that are inherently nonemitting sources of VOCs (stone, ceramic, powder-coated metals, plated or anodized metal, glass, concrete, clay brick, and unfinished or untreated solid wood) are considered fully compliant without any VOC emissions testing if they do not include integral organic-based surface coatings.
What is a LEED-certified home?
