What is CR xray?
What is CR xray?
Computed radiography (CR) cassettes use photo-stimulated luminescence screens to capture the X-ray image, instead of traditional X-ray film. The CR cassette goes into a reader to convert the data into a digital image. The good and bad of CR is that it enables digital imaging with the traditional workflow of X-ray film.
How does CR work?
A CR system consists of an image reader/digitizer, cassettes containing imaging receptors (photostimulable-phosphor plates), a computer console or workstation, software, monitors, and a printer. When exposed to x-rays, electrons in the phosphor plate are excited into a higher energy state, forming a latent image.
What is the difference between DR and CR?
DR uses flat panel detectors based on direct or indirect conversion of X-rays to charge, which is then processed to produce a digital image. CR uses cassette-based phosphor storage plates (PSP), which are then scanned by the computerized system into a digital format for image processing, archiving, and presentation.
Which of the following is used to extract the latent image from an imaging plate?
In computed radiography, when imaging plates are exposed to X-rays or gamma rays, the energy of the incoming radiation is stored in a special phosphor layer. A specialized machine known as a scanner is then used to read out the latent image from the plate by stimulating it with a very finely focused laser beam.
Is CR a CT scan?
Computed tomography (CT) has become more widely available and computed radiography (CR) has replaced film-screen radiography for canine thoracic imaging in many veterinary practices. Significantly smaller nodules were detected with CT (P = 0.0007) and no difference in minimum size was detected between CR and films.
What CR means DND?
challenge rating
You looked at the challenge rating (CR)—here’s what it means: CR is a rating system in 5e that estimates the threat level of enemies. A party of four adventurers can defeat an enemy of CR equal to their level without suffering any significant trouble. CR is also used to track XP progression and leveling up.
