The ultra-rare 911 Turbo Flachbau, also known as the Flat Nose option, was hand-built in Stuttgart at the end of the 964 manufacturing cycle in 1994, from 76 remaining 964 Turbo chassis Porsche had in its facility, and is considered one of the rarest, most powerful, air-cooled 911s created.

Is the 964 air cooled?

Does the 964 have power steering?
A new naturally aspirated engine called the M64 was used for 964 models, with a flat-6 displacement of 3.6 litres. Porsche substantially revised the suspension, replacing torsion bars with coil springs and shock absorbers. Power steering and ABS brakes were added to the 911 for the first time; both were standard.

Porsche also removed the power steering, power windows, rear seats, electronically adjustable front seats and front armrests. The 964 RS was also fitted with lightweight magnesium Cup wheels. At 2706 pounds the 964 RS was 286 pounds lighter than the standard model.
