A blanket drive is fun way for you to collect, purchase or make blankets we need to provide for over 240 people each week. Donating a blanket to Bridging not only helps keep families warm at night, this project will warm your heart too!

Veteran must be at imminent risk of losing their housing with no other housing options, or financial or other resources.
How do you set up a blanket drive?
Get the Word Out Make flyers that ask for donations of new or little-used blankets and distribute the flyers around your community. Share the information on your social media page and ask your friends to spread the word, or make a special page for the blanket drive.
What is Ssvf program?
Overview. The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program was established in 2011 to rapidly re-house homeless Veteran families and prevent homelessness for those at imminent risk due to a housing crisis.
What does HUD Vash pay for?
Through the HUD- VASH program, eligible homeless veterans receive housing assistance from local Public Housing Agencies (PHAs) to rent privately owned housing while receiving case management and clinical and supportive services from the VA.
How long does it take to get approved for HUD Vash?
The VA must wait to find out who will be awarded the Tribal HUD-VASH rental assistance. Then, it will take between 3-6 months to hire and train the VA caseworker.
How many blankets will the Veterans Administration collect in 2021?

How can you help veterans and deployed service members?
Let’s share that cozy feeling with veterans and deployed service members! Soldiers’ Angels is collecting NEW blankets of any kind (store bought, handmade, no-sew, etc.) to distribute to veterans in VA Hospitals and ship to deployed service members. Twin size is preferred.

No-Sew blankets are easy and fun to create and our troops and veterans love them! The goal for the 2021 Blanket Drive is to collect 2,000 blankets.
