What is Msxml SP2?

MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2) is a complete replacement of MSXML 4.0 and MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1). MSXML 4.0 SP2 provides a number of security and bug fixes. You may run MSXML 4.0 and MSXML 3.0 and earlier versions concurrently.

How do I uninstall Msxml DLL?

Remove MSXML 4:

  1. Open an administrator command window. To do this, right-click cmd.exe and choose Run as administrator.
  2. Navigate to the folder containing msxml4. dll . By default:
  3. Unregister msxml4.dll using the following command: regsvr32 /u msxml4.dll.
  4. Delete the following files: msxml4.

Is Msxml 6 installed?

MSXML 6.0 is preinstalled with Windows Vista. For earlier versions of Windows, you can install MSXML 6.0 as a separate download. MSXML 6.0 also comes with SQL Server 2005.
